Let’s talk RV food storage!

Our beautiful, peaceful campsite in the evergreen forests of western Washington.

In continuation of my previous post about home food storage, I’m going to now post about my RV pantry.

First of all, deciding what to keep in our RV pantry is challenging. We keep our RV on our site in a private campground, and it’s 30 minutes out through miles of working forest and along the curvy road following Hood Canal to the closest restaurants and/or grocery stores. A tour of our new travel trailer!

Well… we traded in our 2005 Winnebago Aspect after just 13 months.  With engine troubles constantly plaguing us and not enough space for me, the hubby, and our huge dog, we decided we’d had enough.  Last week we took possession of our brand new 2018 Forest River Salem 25RKS travel trailer with a rear kitchen. What if we’re left with nothing but a pile of rust and mold? Did we buy a lemon?!”) Continue reading

Livin’ the RV dream (kind of)

These days, I spent most of my free time inside our motorhome. Sometimes I’m organizing or cleaning, but a lot of times, I’m just sitting on the sofa inside with my head thrown back and my eyes closed as I listen to the patter of the rain on the roof. (It’s pretty spectacular).

We took the motorhome aka the Winnebago aka the Aspect aka Gracie Rides Again aka the rig aka the RV out early Saturday morning just to drive it around. Continue reading
