We’re in the market for a second travel trailer. This time, we want a small one; specifically, on that size that ensure I’ll be comfortable towing it on my future trips down to Yosemite National Park and up to Alaska. Because we aren’t in any hurry to buy it, we’ve been shopping for months to pick out the ideal trailer.

Well… for full disclosure, I want an Airstream Basecamp more than anything. I love them, I adore them, I’ve been inside them multiple times and the front kitchen with the panoramic windows is just… *sigh* I want one! Buuuuuuuuuut – I refuse to pay Airstream prices, even used.

So… in terms of non-Airstream trailers, there are a lot of great ones out there. We have two major requirements – the trailer has to be shorter than 19’ and it has to have a bathroom. Our wish list includes one that has both a dedicated dinette and a bed. I don’t love the idea of having to go back and forth between bed and dinette depending on the time of day. We’d also love one that comes equipped with solar.

With these requirements in mind, we headed to the Tacoma RV Show over the weekend. We’ve attended this particular RV show so many times that I’m honestly starting to get bored with it, but I still go because I just love looking at RVs.

We’ve zeroed in on the Flagstaff E-Pro and the Rockwood Geo Pro (which are two versions of the same trailer).

BUT… BUT… BUT…

We were exploring one particular area of the show before we left and I turned the corner and what did I see but a Relic Custom Trailer!!! I ADORE these. They’ve been on my radar for a while, but I didn’t expect to see one at the show. I was not disappointed!

I cannot even tell you how cute one of these Relic trailers would look – in baby blue, of course – being towed behind my Silverado.

So that was our trip to the Tacoma RV Show. We skipped all the huge, opulent, designed-so-amazingly-that-you-could-live-in-them-full-time travel trailers and fifth wheels that we usually spend time in. Those are for another time, and another Tacoma RV Show (like the one that will inevitably occur in October!)
