This is one of my favorite recipes. Simple, delicious, and soooo good cold mornings! I’ve modified it from the original one I found to make it tastier and to serve a smaller family.
- 3 cups oats
- 1 cup milk (I use evaporated milk because of the richer flavor)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Combine all ingredients and pour into greased round 8″ or 9″ baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes until lightly browned.
I recently discovered baked oatmeal and loved it! Here is my take on a heart healthy version. https://ihearthearthealthyfood.wordpress.com/2015/01/18/baked-oatmeal/
Thank you for sharing!! I’ve tried several heart-healthy versions of this and was sorely disappointed that it tasted like a brick or like wallpaper paste, so I’m excited to try your version! Thanks!
Great start for the day!
I’m going to try this when my daughter and son-in-law come to visit! Thanks so much posting this! 🙂
Gonna try this! Thanks!
