This week’s weekly writing challenge is to tell a story in just 50 words. Here’s my story:
A brief connecting of gazes. He’s supposed to be immune, yet he burns. Aches from the profundity of it and wonders why he’s standing where he is, trussed up in a too-tight tuxedo while she walks down that wide aisle toward him, then reaches for the hand of someone else.
Ooh, I loved this!! I loved the depth of it. It says so much without saying much at all; there’s so many emotions wrapped into it that just don’t need explaining after that brief glimpse.
