This will be a really fast update because I’m about to head out the door to work. As mentioned previously, I transferred to a new building last night and went back to night shift. I now work in the busiest center for my company in the entire US. I decided to wear my pedometer to see how much I actually walked during my 9 hours in the building. The verdict? 5.5 miles. As someone with a degenerative knee disease, I can promise you that I’m feeling it today! I hope my body adapts quickly to the new stresses I’m putting it under. It’s about to be the holiday season, which means I’m about to do nothing but work and sleep, work and sleep.
On another note, I’ve been moved to tears about a half a dozen times in the past 24 hours. This is actually a good thing, because what I’m going through feels like a true softening, opening, and changing of my heart. On the way home last night (which, by the way, no traffic at 2am is a glorious thing), I listened to one of the many beautiful talks by Pres. Monson. I was in tears for more than half of it. I still don’t know what’s to become of this whole “exploration” thing I’m going through, but I’ve been immeasurably moved lately and I’m really drawing upon a faith that has been dormant but is now feeling renewed. I’m going to need that inner strength and quiet peace to get me through these next few months!
I love the spirit I feel as I listen to the words of a prophet! I’m glad you’re feeling it, too 🙂
