Anyone who knows me knows that one of my biggest obsessions is old time radio – specifically, the show “Fibber McGee & Molly.” (I mean, c’mon, they’re in my WordPress icon. I LOVE Jim and Marian Jordan, aka Fibber and Molly. They feel like family to me!) So I’m quite excited to be adding this Milton Bradley game from 1940 to my collection!
What a great find!
I also own this same set with gravy boat and dessert bowls. But I wanted to inform you that this vintage collect is actually dated in 1968-1970 according to the stamp on the back. Try searching “Syracuse china date stamps” for more info.
Well, that’s up for debate. This pattern was reissued in 1968, but was originally released in the 30s. I’ll check mine when I get home against the date stamp info to be sure. Thanks.
So thank you for that link above! I checked my date stamps and discovered that they must have reissued this stuff in the 1950s, too, (even though my research prior hadn’t revealed that) because based upon the stamps on the bottom of all my china, it was all made between 1952 and 1959. So awesome information!! Thanks a bunch!
